Francisco Gomes Brandão (Francisco Gê Acaiaba de Montezuma - Viscount of Jequitinhonha) founded on November 12, 1832 the Supreme Council in Brazil. Its doctrine is based on the Great General Constitutions of 1762 and 1786, based on the 33 Degree hierarchy of the Old and Accepted Scottish Rite, under the motto "DEUS MEUMQUE JUS".
